Time to sunset SSIS for Azure Data Factory?

Is Azure Data Factory the new SSIS?

Presented by: David Winegar, TailWind

*this presentation will focus on capabilities within Azure Data Factory v2 (Data Factory)

In this presentation we will discuss the capabilities of a Data Factory starting with sources and destinations (i.e. Extract and Load of your ETL). Part of that discussion will also revolve around how you can pull/push from and to the cloud utilizing Integration Runtimes both from a Always-On and Performance perspective. As well, we will look at the functionality of error detection, and notifications, and how you can customize them to meet your needs. Then, we will discuss how to Transform data, as part of Data Factory process, utilizing other Azure services (like Data Lake Analytics and U-SQL). Finally, we will wrap up with a comparison of Data Factory vs SSIS along with some examples of when they are beneficial.
